Strategies for Setting and Achieving Goals

The contractors within the community at We Love Sale know that to succeed, they need to have goals. Not just vocational ones either; true success is more holistic, and requires both personal and professional growth.

Around here, there are mentors and training available to help people develop goal-setting strategies so they can turn their ambitions into reality. For instance, we teach people to use the SMART system when determining objectives. This stands for Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-sensitive. Using these conditions as a filter turns even the vaguest wish into a well-defined course of action complete with metrics and deadlines that keep a person on track and motivated.

Another tip consultants in the network learn at We Love Sales is to take the SMART goals and break them down into quarterly targets. Most worthwhile objectives will take longer than that, and daily action steps are the secret to success, but focusing on three-month increments has two distinct advantages. First, a quarter is a long enough amount of time to see real progress. However, and secondly, it’s a short enough amount of time that one could stay motivated for the entire three months. This creates an upward spiral of achievement in which results lead to enthusiasm; consistent effort leads to bigger results which carries these entrepreneurs forward to fulfil their goals.

Goals are both the fuel and the map that take people where they want to be in business and in life. Find more of our success tips by liking We Love Sales on Facebook.
